About The Author

Monica Bouvier is a student of the human condition. It wasn't until after successfully maneuvering through her own relationship obstacles that Monica felt qualified to add her own personal spin to the complexities of the male/female relationship in the form of, "Beautiful Liar," and, "In Search of Mr Wonderful, The Journey From Myth To Madness,"loosely based adaptations of this journey.

Within these memoirs, turned novels, Monica Bouvier wields the written craft to enrapture the mind much like an artist wields a brush. The pages are a blank canvas on which she draws from a talent heralded by many and matched only by an imagination that rises to the task. "In Search of Mr Wonderful, The Journey From Myth To Madness," is the first in a series of writing pursuits by Monica, with her work progressing quickly on the follow-up with, "Beautiful Liar," and, "The Ten Commandments of Dating."

In the coming years, Monica plans to launch her next series of romance/relationship toiled novels, "Tickle Me," "Poinsoned Pen," and "Margarita Social Club."

Born in Spokane, Washington, Monica, moved with her family to her current home at the age of six - Anchorage, Alaska. At the time, her grandfather was one of the first African-American homesteaders in the state, as well as, owned and operated the city's first minority-owned construction company.

At present, Monica's family stretches from Alaska throughout the west coast; whereby, she enjoys spending time in Washington, Oregon, California and Nevada.

Monica, a former model has worked in television for nearly two decades.  For the last ten-plus years she's served KTVA-CBS as a Traffic and PSA Director.  Five years before that she worked as the National Sales Manager and Traffic Manager for KTBY-FOX.  Her first eight years were spent as the Programming Coordinator and Traffic Manager for KIMO-ABC.  She is recognized as the first African-American Public Service Announcer director in Alaskan television.

Monica has also participated in on-camera and off-camera work, in developing and airing television commercials for local TV stations.  She even acted or served as an extra in several of them.

Monica first caught the writing bug in 1989, when from 1994-2000, she was the vice president and a co-producer/writer for Black Arts North, a minority based, not-for-profit organization geared towards empowering young adults, through the love of the arts. As Vice-President, Black Arts North provided a positive outlet for low-income kids who were interested in the performing arts to not fall victim to peer pressure and to rise triumphantly above the noise, artistically. 

Monica studied Business Management and Fashion Merchandising at UAA in Anchorage, Alaska. Currently, she is pursuing a degree in Psychology. 

Due to Monica's overall accomplishments, her profile has continually been selected for inclusion in the 2008, 2009 and 2010 editions of Marquis Who's Who, and Women In America publication series.
